I think everyone can understand that with the post offices closing down in the area, the two remaining post offices in Hayle are under pressure especially at Christmas HOWEVER that does not excuse the staff in this branch from terrible customer service; Consistently rude, unfriendly, sharp with queries & make you feel like an inconvenience. I'd like to say this is a 'one off' from a staff member having a bad day BUT sadly my twice weekly visits for months has proven that the service does not change. The newsagent part of this shop is very over priced. The other post office in Hayle on the main high street are much nicer & provide a better, quicker service and as a result is where I will be going from now on & recommend others do to.
I can be very busy sometimes with people queuing through the post office and the shop to get to the one window that is open. With the Carbis Bay and St Erth post offices closed down this one can't cope. There are two staff there so why not open two windows when busy.
Times given on amazon for parcel pickup are incorrect someone from the post office should contact. It says you can get parcels up to 10pm. That incorrect parcels only available till the post office shuts which weekdays is 530pm.
Very convenient post office/newsagent.
