We went to St Ives Bay Holiday Park in October of 2017, the park is well laid out and sports some stunning views across the sea. There is a number of activities that you can take part in as well as an onsite swimming pool. My daughters absolutely loved the fresh air and open spaces, where we live is quite built up so it was nice they could play outside with out watching for cars as we where in a small close.Unfortunately the bar was not open and there was no evening entertainment, the onsite shop was a little sparse but had all the basics you needed. I want to point out there was a reason for this and I will not hold it against them. We where on site for the very last week of the 2018 season and got a reduced rate I am assuming this is why. Our caravan was clean, cosy and came with everything we needed to have a good time. The staff I met where great, clean and presentable with a willingness to help. The site is close to some great things to see and do with a large supermarket and chip shop close by.In all we really enjoyed our stay, in fact so much we have booked again for next year.
One of my favourite holiday parks! Has everything you need on site, restaurant, shops, surf school, a bar, swimming pool, hot high pressure camping showers and more!! Don't forget you are a 5 minute walk if that from the beach, flat golden sands that go for miles! There's also lots of walking trials and ruins through the sand dunes which are full of wildlife! This is a very family friendly place so if you are a couple that are camping, take into consideration that on Friday night the camping pitches fill up with large families and lots of children until Sunday morning. Which if you don't mind children is all fine, otherwise mid week before the summer holidays is perfect and peaceful. Large camping pitches too!
We really enjoyed our week stay here - nice tent plots, a little bit of separation. Can get a bit windy but apart from that we had nothing bad to say. Decent sized pool, shop, bar etc. Lidl is just a few minutes away as is the amazing beach. Would be very happy to come again.
Our 3rd visit staying in a caravan here. Location is amazing, with superb views if you are beach end. There is entertainment if you want it for the kids, and crazy golf and tennis courts. Surf school on site, and the beach has life guards. Not the lap of luxury if that's what you are looking for but suits our needs and vans are clean on arrival. Would say bring your own utensils if you can as it varies what is in the van, but it tells you what is provided on the web site. We prefer a laid back holiday but had trips into St Ives on the park and ride, lovely scenic train ride, and a visit to Godrevy Head and a walk to see the seals at Mutton cove is a must. On the whole an fantastic family orientated holiday where you can do as little or as much as you like. My only reason for not returning is they have a no dogs policy after an unplanned adoption of our puppy!
Spent a weeks holiday here in August was very good an staff an facilities very friendly an helpful. However only given 4 stars as walk to an from the beach is exhausting. I would not recommend for disabled or wheelchair users as they wld have to go to an easier access beach as the one here is far to steep. The weather was glorious which was a bonus an a good time was had by us all.
